KimGeist.com Coaching Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really get unlimited communication with my
coach?
Yes! There is no limit to the amount of time
you spend asking questions of or talking with your coach via phone, Skype, or
email?
What is Skype?
Skype is a free online tool that allows users to
talk "face-to-face" using video from webcams or talk in real time using an
instant messenger-type service.
Who will be my coach?
Your coach will be Kim Geist. Kim works with a
support team to continually update on the most current knowledge in exercise
science, nutrition, etc. and brings this wealth of knowledge to you.
What do all those coaching credentials mean?
A bachelor's degree in sport and exercise science
means that Kim has received a 4 year education in the most current knowledge and
research that is applicable to enhancement of sports and exercise performance
and she has completed this education with one of the highest honors available.
Having this education means that Kim does not program workouts based on "this is
just the way it is done" or "this is the way it has always been done" but rather
based on the whys and hows of real science.
A master's degree in sports nutrition means that Kim is
continuing her education further, gaining the most current knowledge on how the
nutrients supplied to the body affect the athletic performances demanded of the
body.
A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist is the
highest certification that can be obtained for a strength and conditioning
coach. At least a bachelor's degree is needed, a comprehensive exam must
be passed, and continuing education must be ongoing to hold this certification.
With this certification, Kim is able to program fitness workouts to build
strength, power, speed, and flexibility while keeping you safety from injury.
Being a USA Cycling Certified Coach means that the national
governing body has certified that Kim excels specifically in the coaching of the
sport of cycling. Kim earned this certification at the youngest age
allowed by USA Cycling and has held it since.

coach.
Will my coach be present at my events?
With the coaching packages, the coach will make her
best attempt to be present at your events if they are local and convenient to
her. For long-distant or special events, Kim will travel to be present at
these events for an additional fee.

and Wingate testing.
Are there additional benefits to KimGeist.com Coaching?
Yes! Coached athletes have several pro deals

If I would like less than unlimited communication with my coach, can I
set-up a package for less than the base price?

athlete, especially in long-distance coaching, less than unlimited communication
is not recommended, but can be set-up on an individual basis. Contact Kim
for more information.
